Porter

• →General cleaning of common areas in assigned building.
• →General cleaning of perimeter of assigned building.
• →Removal of garbage and recyclables in compliance with DSNY rules and regulations.
• →Cleaning of compactor and garbage chute rooms.
• →Assist Senior Superintendent, Handyman and Porters as assigned.
• →Coordinate access for outside contractors as assigned.
• →Additional responsibilities as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year(s) of previous work experience as a porter
• Ability to read and follow instructions.

1. Required Constantly: Walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting of materials and tools (5-50 pounds).
2. Required Frequently: Climbing ladders, operating machinery.
3. Required Occasionally: Shoveling of snow, reaching above the shoulder, pushing and pulling.

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
