About Metergy Solutions, LLC. (“Metergy”)

As one of North America’s most experienced submetering providers, Metergy Solutions has brought turnkey solutions to clients for over 20 years. Metergy supplies, installs and remotely reads meters to measure individual suite consumption of electricity, water, gas, and thermal energy in multi-residential buildings, as well as commercial buildings, and bills and collects for the cost of commodities and administrative charges for the services provided. The business model allows for long-term recurring revenue through an innovative Submetering as a Service (SaaS) model. Submetering is proven to reduce in-suite energy consumption by 40%, driving decarbonization efforts for Metergy’s clients. This performance has enabled Metergy to issue green bonds and obtain green financings.

The #1 submeter provider in the NYC, Philadelphia and Canadian markets, and one of the largest in North America, Metergy has more than 1,000,000 contracted meters, issues over 2M utility invoices annually and has over 550 team members.

Metergy is a portfolio company of Brookfield Infrastructure Partners. Brookfield is one of the world’s largest investors, owners and operators of infrastructure assets across the utility, transport, energy, data and sustainable resources sectors. This sponsorship provides Metergy with access to large-scale capital, infrastructure investment expertise and global reach.

Metergy acquired the two largest submeter billing providers in NYC in 2022 and the largest in Philadelphia in 2024, resulting in the market-leading positions the firm enjoys in these markets. These acquisitions have been very successful – results have exceeded expectations and have further accelerated Metergy’s huge growth potential.

Based in King of Prussia, PA, the US Co-Lead (Philadelphia) is a key member of Metergy’s Executive Leadership Team, reporting to the President & CEO and partnering closely with the US Co-Lead (New York). This leader shares P&L accountability for U.S. operations and leads a team of ~75. The leader must be comfortable working in a matrix-style Executive Leadership Team where management and leadership is shared among the group.

Metergy generates over $100M in revenue and is in a period of transformational growth. EBITDA has doubled over the past five years and is forecast to double again, supported by a strong contracted backlog. In parallel, there is a significant opportunity to accelerate growth by expanding Metergy’s Sub-metering as a Service (SaaS) model across the U.S.

In just four years, Metergy has grown from no U.S. presence to a market leader in NYC and Philadelphia, with operations across 42 states. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the next phase of that growth.

As one employee put it: “Metergy combines the excitement of a start-up with 20+ years of performance and the backing of Brookfield.”This role is truly a unique opportunity.

The key priorities for the US Co-Leader include:

This executive will inherit a knowledgeable team and a strong, established business that includes:

  • Loyal, long-standing clients with predictable recurring revenue
  • A generational growth opportunity
  • A leading-edge technology transformation (Palantir Foundry platform)
  • A clear opportunity—and need—for deeper business integration

The US Co-Lead will play a pivotal role in advancing and leveraging each of these areas. This is not a “lone wolf” role—success requires close partnership with the Executive Leadership Team, broader Leadership Team, and local Philadelphia leaders. Building trust quickly across the organization will be critical.

The successful candidate joins from a position of strength, working with an experienced team and a committed Executive Leadership Team focused on U.S. growth, technology revitalization, and integration. This leader will:

  • Mentor and develop the team to maximize operational and financial performance
  • Act as a cultural anchor for the Philadelphia office, maintaining stability, focus, and a long-term perspective
  • Provide the “calm in the storm” needed to lead through complexity and organizational change
  • Anticipate talent needs and proactively build bench strength to sustain growth and execution

They will partner closely with the EVP Business Development, EVP Business Development & Government Relations (former EMS3 owners), Chief Revenue Officer, US Co-Lead (NYC), CEO, CFO, and client-facing teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the executive owner of client relationships managed from Philadelphia (including U.S.-wide clients)
  • Maintaining and elevating client service and overall customer experience
  • Supporting critical sales moments and helping close new and existing business
  • Acting as a visible ambassador for Metergy with clients, customers, and industry stakeholders

This role requires strong alignment across the Executive Leadership Team and broader organization to drive integration and performance. The US Co-Lead must quickly understand and embody Metergy’s culture and lead by example. Key accountabilities include:

  • Driving growth, technology revitalization, and business integration
  • Delivering best-in-class service and operational execution:
    • Partnering with the COO to ensure accurate, on-time submetering data, billing, and collections
    • Partnering with the SVP Field Operations to ensure efficient and effective field service delivery
  • Ensuring strong client onboarding and rapid, effective resolution of escalations
  • Fostering a high-performance environment defined by accountability, urgency, continuous improvement, and a client-first mindset
  • Inspiring and developing leaders across the organization

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial leader who enjoys tackling problems in a hands-on, team-first manner. They are driven to achieve and deliver results—capable of leading growth, executing technology revitalization, driving company-wide execution, and serving as a strong cultural leader.

A quick learner, the ideal candidate will bring experience in the utility and/or commercial real estate sectors. Background in a service business is preferred, along with a technical aptitude to understand internal systems, software tools, and client building operations. This executive will be highly skilled at building trust and managing durable relationships across the Executive Leadership Team, broader Leadership Team, and the organization as a whole, as well as with existing and prospective clients.

To succeed in this role, the US Co-Leader must be comfortable operating in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment. They will bring an open, flexible, and inclusive leadership style, coupled with resilience, entrepreneurial drive, and a strong desire to win as part of a team. This individual will operate with discipline—leveraging a metric-driven, bottom-line-focused approach to performance and decision-making.

The successful candidate will hold a university degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Given the strategic scope of the role and its significant leadership and talent development responsibilities, overall career experience and leadership style will be the most critical factors in selection.

The new US Co-Leader will have proven strengths in the following areas:

This is a role for an executive who thinks proactively about talent and succession, and who can effectively judge, attract, develop, and retain high-performing individuals. They are able to rally teams behind clear, actionable, and pragmatic plans, while building trust, earning followership, and leading meaningful cultural evolution.

This executive will have a strong track record of delivering exceptional client service, with a hands-on approach to both execution and continuous improvement. They are comfortable digging into complex issues alongside their teams to identify practical, sustainable solutions that earn broad buy-in.

A key part of the role will be driving ongoing integration across Metergy’s teams, processes, software tools, and service delivery model across offices, ensuring a consistent and high-quality client experience.

The successful candidate will bring a demonstrated ability to translate strategy into clear, measurable performance objectives and lead teams to execute against them with focus and discipline. They will inspire energy, accountability, and rigor in execution, while maintaining a strong commitment to delivering an outstanding client and customer experience.

This individual will have a proven track record of building strong client relationships and driving customer satisfaction. They will be equally comfortable operating at a strategic level and engaging in operational and financial detail as needed. A mindset of continuous improvement and innovation is essential, with a focus on building organizational capability to support sustained growth.

A demonstrated drive to pursue and secure new client opportunities is important. Experience contributing to business development efforts—including supporting or leading client negotiations—is highly valued, particularly within the commercial real estate sector and across both existing and new geographies.
