Salary Information

Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade. \r\n**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and Montgomery Personnel Board Rules & Regulations** \r\n

Nature of Work

The\r\nfundamental reason this classification exists is to manage the daily operations\r\nof Districts One, Two or Three of the Parks and Recreation Division.� The work responsibilities of the position are:\r\nallocates and assigns district resources; supervises and inspects the work of\r\nDaily and Special project crews; assists the Parks Division Superintendent in\r\nplanning the annual budget; and assigns specialized workers\r\nto other districts.� All District Park Supervisors maintain parks\r\nin their assigned district but are also assigned specialty tasks divided across\r\nthe three districts personnel.� District\r\nOne handles all welding, carpentry and painting tasks of park buildings and\r\nequipment.� District Two handles all\r\nspecial event set ups.� District Three\r\nmanages all landscaping for the city.\r\nThe District Parks Maintenance Supervisors report to the Parks Division\r\nSuperintendent.\r\n

Minimum Qualifications

(District I) High school diploma or G.E.D. Must have three (3) years’ of experience in the supervision of multiple work crews involved in park maintenance to include welders, carpenters and painters trades.\r\n\r\n\r\nNOTE:� Qualifying\r\neducation, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills\r\nand abilities to perform the job will be considered.\r\n\r\n

Kind of Examination

The current vacancy is with the City of Montgomery Parks and Recreation Department in District 1.
