The principal consultant provides expertise utilizing industry experience, business analysis, best practices and a pragmatic mindset to facilitate clients’ most complex requirements. The Principal Consultants facilitate the development of SOW’s for new and existing customers. Principal Consultants should have eagerness to mentor junior consultants and staff.
- Ability to lead and act as a Solution Architect full-cycle NetSuite implementation projects, with varying levels of size and complexity, by translating complex business requirements and processes into NetSuite technical designs in a remote or in-person capacity as requested by the client, including but not limited to video or onsite interaction
- Solution delivery responsibilities span all project phases, including: discovery, design, build, testing, training, and deployment. Acts as the highest level of escalation on functional issues within delivery teams.
- Perform fit/gap analysis on business requirements en route to system design and execution
- Develop wireframe and schematic diagrams to support customer requirements gathering and overall business process discovery
- Lead project management activities such as project planning, creation of work breakdown structures, and change control
- Collaborate and work closely with in-house development team to implement custom solutions. Develop these custom solutions in a clear and comprehensive Technical Design Documents.
- Act proactively and as a trusted client advocate during engagements by providing implementation and industry specific best practices.
- Contribute to various internal MHI initiatives including resource mentorship and ongoing NetSuite education
- Willingness to learn and develop NetSuite product skills in all areas as required by customer engagements
- This role may include travel, and occasional flexibility in working hours, including nights and weekends which may be necessary to meet project deadlines or address unforeseen circumstances during engagements
- Contribute to various internal MHI initiatives including resource mentorship and ongoing education
- 5+ years of relevant consulting experience or industry experience with a high degree of specialization in a specific industry and/or product vertical
- Undergraduate degree or MBA in field of Business, Finance, Accounting, Software or relevant field
- Strong background in finance/accounting, consulting and advisory services, general -specific industry experience
- Individual has led and acted in a Solution Architect capacity across varying project sizes and complexity; from small through enterprise level implementations across different ERP platforms.
- Individual has at least 10-15+ end-to-end NetSuite implementations and has hands-on Technical/Functional NetSuite ERP Implementation experience.
- NetSuite certifications highly preferred – NetSuite ERP Consultant, NetSuite Certified Administrator, and SuiteFoundation
- Experience and knowledge of best practices surrounding NetSuite technical capabilities such as: SuiteFlow, SuiteScript, and SuiteTalk. Effectiveness in designing end-to-end solutions with these capabilities in mind.
- Experience with specialized NetSuite process areas and products is preferred, these include: Advanced Manufacturing, Advanced Revenue Management, Demand Planning, Services Resource Planning, OpenAir, and SuiteCommerce Advanced
- Take control of projects by acting as lead and having the ability to handle escalations with minimal support
- Continuous involvement in your own project engagements and client relationships

It is not a common practice or guaranteed for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and compensation decisions are determined using a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to; skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific location due to cost of living & labor considerations; All of which will be considered during the interview and offer process. Salary ranges and incentive plans will differ in other countries in which MHI pays local currency.
