The Gas Engineering II manages pipeline projects that meet and exceed our client’s expectations. This requires a high level of knowledge and experience working with pipeline design codes and safety requirements. They communicate and coordinate project scope with clients and local municipalities as well as participate in project scoping, cost estimates, provide guidance for design plans, material selection, constructability, and calculations.
Design to client and regulatory requirements
Manage small to mid-size projects to schedule and budget
Keep Milhouse Engineering management advised of all quality, schedule, and budget variances in a timely manner
Manage subordinate or other discipline resources to quality, schedule, and budget requirements
Prepare project documents and reports
Maintain project files
Create and enforcing project quality plan
Data and document entry into various platforms
Report safety, health, and quality issues to management
Prepare contract amendments, change order documentation, and claims documentation
Four-year technical degree from an ABET accredited institution
3-5 years of relevant engineering design experience
Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and MicroStation
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
Knowledge of Primavera P6 schedule analysis
Familiar with discipline specific design software and design management systems
Knowledge of standard format specification development
Knowledge of Atlanta Gas Engineering Design CAD Standards
Knowledge of City of Atlanta Design Requirements
Previous Experience working on Atlanta Gas Engineering Projects
Previous experience managing a large number of small deadlines
