Water Resource Technician

The Water Resource Technician will complete perimeter BMP inspections, clay settling dam inspections, and monitoring as required by the Florida Administrative Code.  Report and/or resolve safety, environmental, operations and maintenance issues as needed.  Oversee minor maintenance for clay settling areas and perimeter berms.  Perform operations and maintenance activities to manage process water in accordance with environmental permits requirements.  Responsible for upkeep of all records associated with CSA/perimeter berms within their area.  Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers.  Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.

• →Manage water supply systems to provide adequate amounts of water where needed as well as to mitigate potential environmental risks to the site(s).
• →Responsible for inspections and maintenance of clay settling areas and/or perimeter berms as assigned.
• →Oversee minor maintenance at clay settling areas and perimeter berms.
• →Cross train and backfill for Geotechnical technicians.
• →Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• High school/GED preferred
• 3-5 years of mining experience preferred
• 2-3 years of environmental Health & Safety experience preferred
• 3-5 years of related or applicable experience preferred
• 1-2 years - Microsoft Office Suite
• Maximo experience is preferred
