What You'll Do

Support and manage the loan origination process from application and preapproval through underwriting and closing
Process residential mortgage loans and collect required documentation
Guide borrowers through the lending process and provide ongoing communication
Manage loan conditions, appraisals, title work, and insurance requirements
Coordinate and facilitate loan closings
Maintain accurate records within CRM and loan origination systems
Partner with homebuyer counselors, realtors, and community partners

Ensure loan files, disclosures, underwriting decisions, and borrower communications comply with all applicable federal and state lending regulations and organizational policies

What You Bring

3+ years of mortgage underwriting, processing, loan origination, or lending experience
Experience reviewing and evaluating mortgage loan files with a strong understanding of mortgage compliance, regulatory requirements, and lending documentation
Experience with loan origination and/or underwriting software
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred

Manual underwriting experience
Experience with manual underwriting and compliance review in a regulated lending environment
Affordable housing, nonprofit, credit union, or community lending experience
Salesforce experience
Bilingual skills, desired
