Silgan Containers is seeking a Plant Accountant / Cost Accountant to support the financial performance of our Plover manufacturing facility. This role offers hands-on experience in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, inventory control, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and month-end close while partnering directly with plant leadership.

What You'll Do
Manage month-end close and financial reporting
Support cost accounting and inventory control activities
Analyze manufacturing costs and inventory variances
Maintain standard costs and Bills of Material (BOMs)
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning
Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
Partner with operations leaders to improve plant performance
Participate in plant operations meetings and walkthroughs

What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Recent graduates welcome
Knowledge of accounting principles and Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a collaborative manufacturing environment
ERP experience (JD Edwards preferred but not required)
