Senior Technical Project Manager - Virginia Beach, Va

WRC Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead day-to-day execution of a priority defense engineering program. This role will coordinate cross-functional technical teams, schedules, budgets, risks, milestones, and field activities across multiple sites. Candidates should have 10+ years of technical project/program management experience, strong budget and schedule tracking skills, and military project experience or U.S. Armed Forces veteran experience. Familiarity with AESAs, SDRs, communications, unmanned platforms, or RF/antenna systems is preferred. U.S. citizenship and an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one are required. Position is hybrid in the Wake Forest, NC or Virginia Beach, VA area, with domestic travel approximately one week per month for ~9 months.

10+ years of relevant technical project or program management experience, or equivalent experience. Experience supporting military/defense projects or service as a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces. Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and managing project budgets and schedules.

Experience supporting defense engineering programs involving communications, radar, RF/antenna systems, or field testing. Familiarity with AESAs, software-defined radios (SDRs), communications systems, unmanned platforms, or related technologies. Technical understanding of communications, radar, RF/antenna systems, field-test operations, and complex engineering systems. Ability to translate technical information into clear project status, risks, priorities, and actions for both technical and business stakeholders.

Strong project planning, budget and schedule tracking, risk and milestone management, and cross-functional coordination skills. Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and other stakeholders. Strong organizational, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

U.S. citizenship required. Active security clearance or ability to obtain a clearance. Position is hybrid with some remote work and supports the Wake Forest, NC or Virginia Beach, VA area. Domestic travel is expected approximately one week per month for ~9 months. Responsibilities include coordinating day-to-day program execution, tracking schedules, budgets, risks and milestones, supporting multi-site field activities, and helping ensure projects remain aligned with customer and program requirements.
