Japanese Corporate & Investment Banking (JCIB) supports Japanese corporate clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Working closely with colleagues across MUFG's global network, including Japan, the team delivers a broad range of banking solutions and supports clients in achieving their strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
~1 min readDuring the internship, you will gain practical experience across a range of corporate banking activities, including:
- →Support the preparation of client presentations, proposals and meeting materials.
- →Conduct company, industry and market research.
- →Assist with credit analysis, portfolio monitoring and internal reporting.
- →Support client relationship activities and strategic business initiatives.
- →Collaborate with colleagues across Banking, Credit, Operations and other business areas.
- Exposure to international corporate banking and financial markets.
- Exposure to Japanese corporate culture and business practices, and cross-border collaboration between Japan and EMEA
- Insight into credit and risk management processes.
- Professional skills development through training, mentoring and networking opportunities.
- Experience working in a collaborative and multicultural environment
Our Internship Programme serves as a pipeline into the full-time MUFG Analyst Programme, and successful interns may receive an offer to join the full-time Analyst Programme in Amsterdam upon completion of their studies.
We look for talented, motivated and ambitious individuals who will help drive our business forward. Successful candidates will:
- Be in the final year of undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written language skills); Japanese is strongly preferred, and Dutch is preferred.
- Have a strong interest in financial markets.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be proactive, motivated and able to work effectively within a team.
- Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
