The role is responsible for originating and executing solution-driven CIB transactions by leveraging MUFG’s global platform.
The position focuses on new business areas, including semiconductor-related transactions, GX / sustainability projects, structured finance, and M&A-related financing, working closely with internal product partners, relationship managers, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • →

    Originate and execute CIB-related transactions by providing structured financial solutions tailored to client needs

    Advise Relationship Managers and clients on complex financing structures, including but not limited to:

    • →

      Semiconductor sector-related transactions

    • →

      GX / sustainability-related projects (energy, environmental, agri-related)

    • →

      Structured finance, securitization, acquisition / LBO-related financing, and other new business areas

  • →

    Structure and coordinate cross-product solutions by collaborating with Transaction Banking, Global Markets, Investment Banking, and other MUFG group entities

  • →

    Prepare deal proposals, credit applications, and internal materials ensuring alignment with MUFG’s business strategy, risk appetite, and compliance requirements

  • →

    Work closely with internal stakeholders across departments and regions to drive deal execution and delivery

  • →

    Engage and coordinate with external parties such as legal advisors, accounting firms, technical consultants, and other professionals as required for transaction execution

  • →

    Conduct financial analysis using client financial statements, business plans, and sector / market data to assess risks and structure appropriate solutions

  • →

    Identify and assess key risks including credit, legal, tax, and execution risks, and recommend mitigating measures

  • →

    Support medium- to long-term pipeline development and new business origination initiatives for the BSA / CIB platform

  • →

    Maintain strong awareness of market trends, industry developments (particularly in semiconductor and new economy sectors), and relevant regulations

Requirements

  • Strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in executing and closing structured finance / project finance deals (including Project financing for solar–fishery (aquavoltaics) projects in Taiwan / aquaculture / energy-related projects such as fishery co-existence projects), and ability to independently drive transactions to closing.

  • Experience in corporate banking, investment banking, structured finance, or related areas at a foreign financial institution or a major Taiwanese financial institution

  • Hands-on experience in deal origination and execution, or strong capability to independently manage end-to-end transaction processes

  • Solid understanding of structured finance, credit analysis, and transaction documentation

  • Ability to work across functions and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills

  • High level of professionalism, ownership mindset, and self-driven attitude

  • Exposure to semiconductor industry-related transactions, project finance, GX / sustainability-related deals, or M&A financing

  • Experience working with cross-border transactions and global stakeholders

  • Solid knowledge of banking products and financial markets

  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders

  • Proficiency in English (business level); Japanese or Mandarin capability is a plus

What We're Looking For
Must-Have
• Proficiency in English and Chinese, especially Traditional Chinese in business writing

• Intermediate level Japanese
• Strength or strong base knowledge of finance and/or accounting
• Interest in Semiconductor / AI / Quantum Computing / Green Transformation

• Project ownership and team working skills 
• Capability or competence to leverage various AI tools and data sources, to manage tasks efficiently and proactively

Nice-to-Have
• Experience in investment banking / M&A / start up fund raising

Notes
• This role may need you to participate online meeting in different time zones such as Silicon Valley or India, which would potentially be out of normal working hour in Taiwan (work from home is allowed).
• This role may require oversea business trip within APAC occasionally.
