Are you ready to help shape the financial backbone of next-generation industrial automation?

Mujin is transforming how industrial robots perceive, plan, and execute work by bringing real-time intelligence to the factory floor through MujinOS, our hardware-agnostic, software-defined automation platform.

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner / Project Controller to support the financial management of complex robotics and automation projects across Europe. In this role, you will partner closely with project managers and engineering leadership to ensure projects are financially sound, accurately forecasted, and properly reflected in financial reporting.
You will play a central role in project controlling, cost analysis, revenue recognition support, and financial systems development, ensuring that project performance, margins, and cashflow are visible and well managed throughout the full project lifecycle.

Position: Finance Business Partner / Project Controller
  • Partner with European project managers as the primary finance contact for project performance, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Own the financial integrity of projects, ensuring costs, revenues, and contractual terms are accurately reflected and reconciled.
  • Prepare monthly project financial reports highlighting variances, margin drivers, and project risks or opportunities.
  • Support revenue recognition under IFRS 15, ensuring project data (costs, milestones, progress, contract changes) is accurate and well documented.
  • Prepare supporting schedules such as WIP and percentage-of-completion (POC) analysis.
  • Serve as the functional owner of project accounting in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, maintaining project structures, cost codes, and billing schedules.
  • Work with IT and ERP consultants to improve financial processes, reporting, and dashboards while reducing manual spreadsheets.
  • Support project cashflow by ensuring invoicing aligns with contractual milestones and delivery progress.
  • Monitor project-related working capital including WIP, unbilled revenue, and accounts receivable.
  • Lead project-related activities during month-end and quarter-end close, including reconciliations and financial analysis.
  • Maintain strong internal controls over project accounting, billing, and revenue-related processes.
  • Partner with the global accounting operations team handling recurring system activities and support internal and external audits.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance roles within project-based industries such as engineering, industrial automation, systems integration, construction, or industrial equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with project controlling, cost analysis, and financial reporting for project portfolios.
  • Practical experience supporting IFRS 15 / ASC 606 revenue recognition, particularly percentage-of-completion or over-time recognition models.
  • Strong systems orientation with experience working in ERP environments (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar).
  • Experience improving or implementing finance-related system processes.
  • Experience supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and project accounting controls.
  • Proven ability to work closely with project managers and operational teams, explaining financial impacts of project decisions and improving forecasting accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or equivalent.
  • Experience working in engineering, robotics, automation, or industrial technology environments.
  • Experience collaborating with international teams across multiple time zones.
  • Exposure to ERP implementation or system upgrades.
  • Travel Requirement: Less than 3%
  • Preferred work model: primarily office-based (Best, Netherlands), with the option for a hybrid schedule
  • Prolonged periods of computer use and sedentary work
