Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Treatment preparation: Prepare dialysis machines, water systems, and treatment supplies according to manufacturer guidelines, AAMI standards, and MultiCare policy.
- →Machine setup and testing: Perform pre treatment machine checks, alarm testing, conductivity verification, and safety inspections.
- →Patient care support: Assist RNs with patient preparation, vital signs, weight checks, and comfort measures.
- →Treatment monitoring: Observe and document machine parameters, pressures, and alarms; promptly escalate abnormalities to the RN.
- →Equipment disinfection: Complete post treatment disinfection, heat cycles, and machine turnover per policy.
- →Supply management: Maintain PAR levels, restock carts, and ensure availability of disposables across all campuses.
- →Equipment maintenance: Complete routine maintenance such as deep cleaning of machines and changing filters.
- →Documentation: Accurately document technical tasks, machine parameters, and safety checks in the EMR and equipment logs.
- →Interfacility travel: Travel between Tacoma General, Good Samaritan, and Auburn Medical Center to support daily operational needs.
- →Regulatory compliance: Adhere to CMS, AAMI, Joint Commission, and MultiCare standards at all times.
- →Meal and Break Relief: Provide meal and break period support for facility staff to ensure compliance with state labor laws and regulations.
- →Other duties: Perform additional tasks consistent with technician scope to support safe and efficient operations.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Dialysis Technician training program required.
- National certification for Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) required.
- Current AHA BLS certification required.
- Valid Driver License/Abstract - Multiple Issuers for ability to travel between campuses.
- At least 2 years prior inpatient or outpatient dialysis experience required.
