Supervisor, Production/Fabrication - Commercial

Production supervisor directs the manufacturing operations performed on a shift or group of Fabrication area.

Responsibillities

• Has authority for personnel actions and oversees most of the daily operations of the group.
• Keeps a record of shift operations.
• Prepares daily hourly employee timesheets, production summaries, overtime, and downtime reports.
• Inspects product to verify that production specifications are met.
• Assigns employees to maximize production goals, maintain quality and meet production requirements.
• Participates in establishing and modifying operating methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.
• Maintains various production reports, records, and documentation to reflect schedules and performance.
• Trains new workers in the organisation's operating procedures and standards.

Requires a bachelor’s degree or engineering. Requires at least 3 years current experience as Assembly or Production Supervisor. Ability to lead and influence others in a production environment. Requires tact and good judgment.  Possess and demonstrate good human relations skills. Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Good attendance and work history.  Must be capable of working flexible hours and overtime.  English basic/intermediate.
