PUBLIC WORKS - Utility Construction Laborer

Are you a hands-on individual with experience in utility construction?

The City of Nacogdoches Public Works Department is seeking a Laborer to join our Utility Construction Division.

• →Perform essential skilled manual labor for the installation, replacement, repair and maintenance of the City's water and sewer lines.
• →Assist with water and sewer taps, pipe laying, backfilling and site compaction.
• →Operate and maintain a variety of equipment and tools, including sewer rodders, jackhammers, trenchers and boring machines.
• →Install and repair hydrants, meter valves and related pipeline apparatus.
• →Work on a rotation with the call-out crew, subject to on-call and call-back work.
• →Adhere strictly to all departmental safety training, policies and procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One (1) or more years of experience in utility maintenance or construction OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver license.
