About Navita Health

Navita Health is a growing, mission-driven behavioral health organization committed to transforming the recovery and mental health experience through compassionate care, clinical excellence, and innovative technology. We create new pathways to healing, blending human connection with tech-enabled services to make care accessible to everyone.

We're expanding our Ohio clinical team and looking for a seasoned, licensed clinician who is equally energized by direct client care and operational excellence, and who understands how behavioral health programs run. Navita Health is licensed by the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) and accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC).

About the Role

The Manager of Clinical & Quality Operations is a blended clinical leadership role for a master's-prepared clinician who thrives at the intersection of direct care, supervision, and quality systems. You'll see clients while also supporting quality, peer and case management supervision, and operations across multiple service lines.

This role reports to the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) and works alongside the Treatment Director and the Senior Manager, Clinical Quality as a peer colleague. You'll share the Peer Recovery Supporter (PRS) supervision panel with the Senior Manager, Clinical Quality.

How your time is spent

  • ~30%: Diagnostic assessments and treatment plan updates
  • ~40%: Peer recovery and case management supervision, quality audits, and client experience
  • ~20%: IOP group and individual services
  • ~10%: Clinical input on our proprietary EHR platform and new service lines

What You'll Do

Assessments and Treatment Plan Updates (~30%)

  • Conduct and co-sign diagnostic assessments in line with ASAM criteria and Ohio Medicaid requirements.
  • Review and approve assessments completed by CDCAs and other assessors, and provide final clinical signature.
  • Coordinate treatment plan updates for clients across all levels of care, including 90-day treatment plan renewals.
  • Support smooth transitions between assessment, IOP, peer recovery, and case management services.
  • Make sure all documentation is complete, accurate, and billable before submission.
  • Support client discharges and follow-up.

Peer Recovery and Case Management: Supervision, Quality, and Client Experience (~40%)

  • Provide monthly individual and group clinical supervision to Peer Recovery Supporters and targeted case management (TCM) staff, in compliance with Ohio supervision requirements. You'll carry the larger share of the PRS panel.
  • Supervise CDCAs and TCM staff, including visit reviews and sign-off.
  • Complete Peer Recovery Supporter supervision training within 30 days of onboarding, if not already completed.
  • Log all supervision in our EHR within 1 business day.
  • Conduct scheduled client experience calls, texts, and emails for your panel each month.
  • Conduct scheduled and random chart audits of peer and case management documentation.
  • Monitor Looker dashboards weekly for your panel's quality indicators and service targets.
  • Make first-line decisions on reportable concerns, risk reports, and scheduled interval checks within your panel, rather than routing every case upward.
  • Respond to escalated concerns within 1 business day, with resolution typically in 1 to 3 business days.
  • Close all documentation within 1 business day of month end.
  • Submit a monthly summary of your panel's quality activity to the Senior Manager, Clinical Quality, for the organization-wide report to the CCO.

IOP Operations: Group and Individual Services (~20%)

  • Lead or co-facilitate IOP groups at least 3 days per week.
  • Provide individual SUD sessions for assigned IOP and outpatient clients on non-group days.
  • Make sure IOP documentation meets Ohio Medicaid standards and is completed on time.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare with the Treatment Director and care coordinators.
  • Report attendance trends, curriculum gaps, drug screen concerns, and clinical concerns to the Treatment Director.
  • Support prior authorization requirements according to policy and Medicaid rules.

Clinical Contributor: EHR Platform (~10%)

The Senior Manager, Clinical Quality, is the lead clinical expert for our EHR platform. You'll partner with them, bringing a frontline perspective from your assessment, supervision, and IOP work:

  • Flag workflow gaps and friction you encounter in practice.
  • Provide input on proposed updates and new features.
  • Pilot new functionality for assessments, supervision, and IOP, and give clinical feedback.
  • Support rollout of new service lines in the EHR.
  • Keep a working knowledge of Ohio rules that apply to your documentation and supervision duties.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Active Ohio LICDC license in good standing. Clinical Supervisor (CS) endorsement is a plus.
  • Designated as a PRS supervisor, or experience supervising peer recovery or mental health peer supporters, and eligible for PRS supervision training under DBH rules.
  • Experience in substance use disorder treatment, peer recovery services, and/or targeted case management.
  • Leadership experience in a behavioral health program, such as Treatment Director or another senior role.
  • Proficiency with ASAM criteria and Ohio Medicaid billing.
  • Solid understanding of EHR systems and documentation compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple service lines at once.
  • Comfortable sharing a supervision panel and quality responsibilities with a dedicated quality leader.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, tech-enabled, remote-first environment.

Preferred

  • Additional independent licensure (LPCC, LISW, IMFT, psychologist, or PMHNP)
  • Experience facilitating IOP in group and individual settings. Telehealth IOP experience is a plus.
  • Background in quality assurance, chart auditing, or clinical compliance
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards
  • Experience with EHR platforms, Looker or similar dashboards, and CRM systems
  • Passion for behavioral health innovation and serving underserved communities
  • Experience in a startup or early-stage healthcare organization

Systems you'll use: Google Workspace, Navita Health EHR Platform, Looker, RingCentral
