The Office of the District Attorney for Prosecutorial District 22, serving Caswell and Rockingham counties, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant District Attorney to prosecute felony cases in Superior Court. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong courtroom skills, and a commitment to pursuing justice, supporting victims, and ensuring public safety.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Handle a full Superior Court felony caseload, from initial review through trial and sentencing.
- →Prepare cases by reviewing investigative files, evaluating evidence, interviewing witnesses, and developing trial strategy.
- →Represent the State of North Carolina in pretrial hearings, plea negotiations, motions, jury trials, and post‑conviction proceedings.
- →Work closely with law enforcement, victims, witnesses, and court personnel to ensure effective case management.
- →Provide legal guidance to investigative agencies when appropriate.
- →Maintain accurate case files and comply with all discovery and ethical obligations.

Requirements
~1 min read- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of North Carolina (or eligibility for licensure prior to hire).
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and professionally.
Commitment to integrity, fairness, and public service.
- Prior experience in Superior Court with jury trial experience.
- Experience working with victims, law enforcement, or criminal justice stakeholders.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Not required to live in the district.
