The HRBP Specialist ensures accurate and timely processing of HR transactions, responds to routine inquiries, assists with hiring events, completes pre-screenings, assists with onboarding and life cycle events, completes record retention tasks, and prepares materials supporting informed
decision making.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
Working knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and HR policies at the federal, state, and organizational levels.
Experience providing HR support and guidance to managers and employees across routine HR functions.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to establish effective working relationships, exercise good judgment, and manage confidential matters with discretion.
Acute attention to detail and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Teams, and Workday navigation.

The Division of Human Resources (DHR) provides strategic and operational leadership for DHHS human capital management, including employee relations, recruitment and selection, job evaluation, salary administration, benefits, workers’ compensation, safety, and staff development.
DHHS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals. Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position.
Positions in the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities shall be subject to pre-employment drug testing and criminal record background checks. Also, the use of tobacco products of any kind including vapor products are prohibited from our campuses. All employees are required to adhere to the facility's Vaccination Policy.

Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required;
OR
3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
