Shape the future of dining at Nemacolin. As Vice President of Food & Beverage, you will lead a diverse portfolio of acclaimed restaurants, high-end casual concepts, lounges, banquets, in-room dining, and beverage operations, setting the vision for exceptional experiences across the resort. You will unite talented teams around exacting standards, elevate service and operational performance, and build a culture where hospitality and leadership thrive. In close partnership with executive and culinary leadership, you will drive financial results, strengthen the guest experience, and advance Nemacolin’s position as a premier luxury dining destination.

Responsibilities

  • →A distinctive, consistently elevated Food & Beverage experience across restaurants, lounges, banquets, in-room dining, mini-bars, and beverage operations
  • →A culture of exceptional hospitality where leaders and associates understand the standards, take ownership of the guest experience, and deliver service with confidence
  • →Strong, capable leadership teams through coaching, candid feedback, thoughtful development, and a sustained focus on associate engagement, performance, and retention
  • →A cohesive partnership between Food & Beverage and Culinary Departments, working closely with the resort executive chef, managing director, and resort leadership to align vision, standards, and execution
  • →Healthy financial performance through disciplined budgeting, labor and expense management, cost controls, financial review, and strategic recommendations that strengthen profitability without compromising quality
  • →Operating standards, service protocols, staffing practices, training expectations, and accountability measures that support consistent performance across a complex collection of outlets
  • →Trusted relationships with guests, ownership, executives, associates, and key stakeholders, including thoughtful management of guest concerns, service recovery, and sensitive matters
  • →A visible, hands-on leadership presence that strengthens execution during peak periods, supports teams as business demands shift, and continually advances the quality of Nemacolin’s Food & Beverage experience
  • Executive leadership responsibility for a diverse luxury resort Food & Beverage portfolio
  • Oversight of Forbes Four- and Five-Star and AAA Four- and Five-Diamond dining operations, along with high-end casual concepts and resort-wide Food & Beverage experiences
  • A highly visible role with frequent interaction among guests, ownership, executives, associates, and culinary leadership
  • A fast-paced environment requiring decisive leadership, sound judgment, operational agility, and the ability to balance immediate priorities with long-term strategy
  • A hands-on presence during peak dining periods, high-volume operations, and significant guest-service moments
  • Responsibility for ensuring operations meet Nemacolin standards and applicable health, safety, sanitation, training, licensing, and regulatory requirements
  • A flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs
  • Executive leadership presence with the ability to inspire, coach, challenge, and develop high-performing Food & Beverage teams
  • Deep understanding of luxury dining operations, elevated service, and the details that distinguish an exceptional guest experience
  • Proven ability to lead multiple outlets while maintaining consistent standards, operational discipline, and financial performance
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across ownership, executive leadership, associates, guests, culinary teams, and business partners
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret operating results, manage budgets and expenses, identify opportunities, and translate data into action
  • Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, particularly in dynamic, high-expectation environments
  • Highly organized and adaptable leadership style with the ability to move effectively between immediate operational demands and long-term strategic priorities
  • Professional discretion, sound judgment, and a hands-on approach to leadership when business conditions require

Requirements

  • 6 to 8 years of restaurant leadership experience, including at least 2 years overseeing multiple outlets
  • Previous hospitality leadership experience and relevant Food & Beverage qualifications
  • Experience in a Forbes Four- or Five-Star restaurant preferred
  • Demonstrated success in guest service, relationship management, team development, and associate retention
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage training, luxury service standards, and Front of House and Back of House operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage workflow and build productive relationships across teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to perform basic mathematical functions
  • At least 18 years of age, fluency in English, and ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 5 to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand continuously for approximately 95% of the scheduled shift, operate equipment for approximately 15%, kneel for approximately 20%, bend for approximately 50%, and climb for approximately 35% of the scheduled shift
