Jib /Camera Operator

• →Swings the jib arm and controls pan, tilt, focus, and zoom to execute fluid camera movements like overheads, reveals, and tracking shots.
• →Assembles, aligns, and weights the crane system safely before production begins, ensuring proper counterweight balance.
• →Monitors the physical footprint and counterweight clearance of the jib to protect talent, crew, and equipment on set.
• →Operate television or motion picture cameras to record scenes for television broadcasts, advertising, or motion pictures.
• →Compose and frame each shot, applying technical aspects of light, lenses, film, filters, and camera settings to achieve the effects sought by directors. Follow production instructions, shot lists and safety procedures.
• →Collaborate and maintain clear communications with directors, camera operators and production departments.
• →Work efficiently in fast-paced production environments.
• →Operate and maintain circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• →Test, clean, and maintain equipment to ensure proper working conditions before during and after each assignment.
• →Other duties as assigned.

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting or Communications preferred, however a combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 3 years of experience preferred with proven experience operating camera jib.
• Ability to stand for long hours and have arm-hand steadiness and near/far visualization.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems timely.
• Ability to work in an individual or team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays when needed.
• Reliable, punctual and professional demeanor.
• Must be willing and able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs., and willing to seek assistance for anything over 50 lbs. (should not seek to do over 50 lbs. without assistance)
