Junior AV Technician

Are you passionate about technology, building and installing complex AV systems and working on live events? Would you like to learn how the technology behind professional live productions really works?

Creative Technology is looking for motivated Junior / Trainee Technicians who want to develop a career in the live events and AV industry.

You do not need to know everything when you start. We are looking for people with technical interest, motivation and the drive to learn. At CT, you will develop through hands-on experience, training and working alongside experienced technicians.

From the start, you will gain practical experience in a professional live events and systems integration/installation environment. You will:

• Prepare, test and configure professional AV equipment in our warehouse.
• Support the build, operation and dismantling of technical systems at live events.
• Work alongside experienced CT technicians on real projects and productions.
• Develop practical knowledge in areas such as video, LED, audio, lighting and networks.
• Learn how to identify and solve technical problems.
• Follow internal training and specialist external training or certifications where required.
• Gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and experience develop.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is curious about technology and wants to learn.

You:

• Have an interest in AV technology, live events or technical production.
• Enjoy practical, hands-on work.
• Are motivated to learn and develop.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Are flexible about working at different locations and outside standard working hours when required.

A background in AV, electrical engineering, IT, stage technology or another technical field is useful, but it is not the only way into the role. Practical ability, technical interest and motivation are just as important.
