We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Security Engineer / Senior Security Engineer to join our Global Security & Infrastructure Services team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise network security solutions across global customer environments.
This role requires strong hands-on expertise in firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention, access control, network security operations, and incident response. The candidate will work closely with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Security Operations, and Business teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise environments while supporting critical cybersecurity initiatives and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Implement, configure, and support enterprise network security solutions including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure access technologies.
- →Manage and troubleshoot enterprise security platforms such as Cisco Secure Firewall (ASA/Firepower), Cisco ISE, Cisco IPS, Cisco ACS, and related technologies.
- →Support Security Service Edge (SSE), Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW), and enterprise access control environments.
- →Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, alerts, vulnerabilities, and network threats.
- →Perform advanced troubleshooting for complex network security issues and coordinate escalations with OEM vendors and internal teams.
- →Configure and manage site-to-site VPNs, remote access VPNs, segmentation policies, and secure network connectivity solutions.
- →Evaluate firewall rule/access requests and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and governance policies.
- →Support firewall policy optimization, rule cleanup, security hygiene initiatives, and compliance activities.
- →Utilize firewall assurance and security analysis tools to improve operational efficiency and compliance validation.
- →Participate in incident response activities and collaborate with Cyber Security Operations teams during security investigations.
- →Develop and maintain security documentation, SOPs, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
- →Assist in security upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, and technology refresh initiatives.
- →Monitor effectiveness of security controls, business continuity, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
- →Collaborate with Network, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Business teams to support secure enterprise operations and project delivery.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Network Security Engineering and Operations.
- Strong expertise in Cisco firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and enterprise network security technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Firepower, Cisco ISE, Cisco IPS, Cisco ACS, or equivalent security platforms.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, routing & switching fundamentals.
- Experience managing site-to-site VPNs, remote access VPNs, and secure network segmentation.
- Strong understanding of enterprise security concepts including access control, threat mitigation, intrusion prevention, and security compliance.
- Ability to analyze packet captures using Wireshark/PCAP tools and troubleshoot complex network security issues.
- Experience with firewall rule management, policy optimization, and security governance processes.
- Good understanding of networking across all OSI layers.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced global enterprise environments.
Nice to Have

- CCIE Security (Good to Have)
- CCSP or equivalent Security Certification
- Security+ / CISSP (Good to Have)
- Experience with Cisco Secure Firewall, Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki, or Zero-Trust Security architectures.
- Exposure to cloud and hybrid security environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with security automation, scripting, or orchestration using Python/Bash.
- Experience with firewall assurance tools, compliance automation, and security analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and enterprise cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise customers in Financial Services, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, or highly regulated industries.
