MOBILE TECHNICIAN

• →Take your expertise on the road by traveling to customer locations and getting medium- and heavy-duty trucks back to work.
• →Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve problems using your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to identify the root cause and make the right repair.
• →Keep trucks performing at their best by completing preventative maintenance, inspections, and recommended service.
• →Tackle repairs from start to finish, including disassembly, repair, and reassembly of major truck components.
• →Work closely with our Parts Department to quickly identify and obtain the parts needed to keep repairs moving.
• →Build customer confidence through professional, knowledgeable, and courteous interactions at every service call.
• →Keep the team informed by communicating repair updates, additional service needs, and potential delays with the Service Advisor/Dispatcher.
• →Document your work with pride by providing accurate, detailed repair notes and recommendations.
• →Look beyond the immediate repair by identifying safety concerns, additional service needs, and opportunities to help customers avoid future downtime.
• →Support quality warranty repairs by properly saving and tagging parts when required.
• →Help develop the next generation of technicians by providing guidance and direction to Apprentice Technicians when assigned.
• →Take ownership of your tools and equipment by keeping company-owned tools, equipment, and technical manuals secure, organized, and in good condition.
• →Work safely and responsibly by following all safety procedures and immediately reporting equipment or safety concerns.
• →Stay ahead of the industry by keeping up with manufacturer technical bulletins, repair procedures, and evolving service requirements.
• →Protect our customers, our team, and the environment by following all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and hazardous waste requirements.
• →Jump in where needed and take on other responsibilities that help our customers and team succeed.

• Mack Master Technician certification and 4+ years of related experience and/or training preferred, but not required.
• Hands-on experience working on diesel engines and medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.

• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL REQUIRED.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card) REQUIRED.
• Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and meet Nextran Corporation’s driver qualification and insurability requirements.
• Ability to use computer systems and electronic applications for recordkeeping, communication, scheduling, diagnostics, and other job-related functions.
• ASE and Cummins certifications are a plus.
