The Screen Repair Associate is responsible for providing in-store screen repair services for windows, doors, and porches while delivering outstanding customer service. This role combines hands-on technical work with customer interaction, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently, accurately, and to the customer’s satisfaction. The associate also supports general store operations and promotes additional products and services when appropriate.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform screen repairs and replacements, including cutting, fitting, and installing screen material for windows and doors
- →Assist customers by assessing repair needs and recommending appropriate solutions
- →Measure, assemble, and rebuild screens using store tools and materials
- →Maintain an organized and safe work area, including proper handling of tools and equipment
- →Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns
- →Accurately price and process repair orders through the point-of-sale system
- →Communicate estimated turnaround times and keep customers informed of repair status
- →Stock and replenish screen repair materials and related inventory
- →Promote additional store products and services that complement customer needs
- →Follow all safety procedures and store policies
- →Support overall store operations, including cashiering and merchandising, as needed
- →Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
- Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- Problem-solving ability and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Responsibilities

- Basic familiarity with hand tools (e.g., utility knife, spline roller, measuring tape)
- Experience measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- Ability to follow instructions and complete hands-on tasks accurately
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic math skills - Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Converting between fractions and decimals (e.g., 1/2 = 0.5)
