Our Mission and Operations Integration and Test group is seeking a Principal Test Conductor 3 (Integration and Test) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Gilbert, AZ.   You will have the opportunity to design, develop, and execute test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry, and electrical ground support equipment.  The ideal candidate has system level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware and good computer skills.  Daily responsibilities will require test preparation leading to direct contact with satellite and space flight hardware.  Candidate must be able to tackle issues utilizing skills obtained in the field of electrical engineering, or a related discipline, preferably as it relates to system level integration and test.  Required skills include the ability to communicate clearly, and to use critical thinking in troubleshoot of problems.  The ability to use a scripting language and formulate automated test scripts is highly desirable.  International travel to support launch campaigns may be required.  Shift and weekend work to support testing will be required periodically.

  • 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD (4 additional years of work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • Demonstrate ability to listen effectively, take direction, and possess initiative to accomplish assigned tasks and complete work in a timely fashion
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and integrate new programming languages based off previous experience
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance & special program access 

 

  • Experience with any of the following Microsoft Visio, National Instruments LabView
  • Experience with hardware or software testing and test scripting
  • Minimum of four years of directly related experience in satellite test
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, DMMs, signal generators, etc.)
  • Experience in Electronics troubleshooting, RF test configuration testing, Environments testing (Vibration Analysis/Thermal Vacuum chamber testing)
  • Programming experience with any of the following languages: Python, C, C++
  • Experience in Aerospace or Defense industry (development or test) 

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
