Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) seeks a Manager Software Engineering 3 position as the Decision Support & Analytics (DS&A) Portfolio Manager in our Roy, UT Innovation Center location.


Technical leadership is a must! The candidate will report to the Director, Data Solutions & Platforms (DSP) and will execute a large, diverse portfolio of data engineering, data science, cyber engineering, and artificial intelligence products that increase speed and accuracy in decision making.


Responsibilities

  • →Bachelors degree with 8 years related software or systems experience or MS with 6 years of related experience or and additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • →Experience in program management: planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for related Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements on a large system development-type contract
  • →Understanding of technical baseline development and management.
  • →Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years leading and managing cross-disciplinary technical teams
  • Experienced in engineering leadership process and tailoring.
  • High proficiency in technical problem-solving, including root cause analysis and solution development.
  • MS in STEM with related system development programs.
  • Experience building, deploying, and operating complex data processing, intelligence or space ground systems, or large scale AI products.
  • Experience in software architecture, software systems engineering, AI, data science or engineering, security systems engineering, or systems integration.
  • Experience eliciting needs from customers and translating those needs into development requirements.

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
