Northern Mat & Bridge is seeking a skilled and service-oriented IT Support Technician to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role provides hands-on technical support across the organization and plays a key role in maintaining reliable technology systems for employees and operational locations. The successful candidate will support end users, servers, networks, Microsoft 365 services, mobile devices, and business technology systems while contributing to technology projects, infrastructure improvements, and cybersecurity initiatives. Key Areas and Responsibilities End User & Technical Support Provide day-to-day technical support to employees across the organization. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, connectivity, and mobile device issues. Support workstations, laptops, printers, peripherals, and meeting room technology. Respond to service requests and technical incidents in a timely and professional manner. Deliver excellent customer service while educating users on technology best practices. Infrastructure & Systems Support Support local servers, network infrastructure, wireless systems, and business technology platforms. Assist with system maintenance, upgrades, and technology deployments. Monitor technology systems and escalate infrastructure issues as required. Support business continuity through reliable operation of technology resources. Maintain system documentation and technical records. Microsoft 365 & Security Support Coordinate with corporate IT on Microsoft 365, cloud services, cybersecurity, and infrastructure initiatives. Support user account management, access controls, and technology standards. Promote security awareness and compliance with technology policies. Assist with the resolution, escalation, and documentation of security-related incidents. Support the implementation of cybersecurity controls and best practices. Projects, Equipment & Asset Management Support technology projects, equipment refreshes, and site improvement initiatives. Assist with the deployment, setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment. Maintain accurate technology inventory records and supporting documentation. Track asset lifecycle activities, including procurement, deployment, and replacement. Support onboarding and equipment setup for new employees. Vendor & Service Coordination Coordinate with local technology vendors and service providers. Support vendor-led installations, maintenance, and service activities. Monitor vendor performance and ensure service expectations are met. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company technology and security requirements. Assist with telecommunications and third-party technology service coordination. Qualifications & Experience Minimum three (3) years of experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure support, or a related role. Post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Network Administration, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education, technical training, and workplace experience may be considered. Experience supporting Microsoft-based business environments is considered an asset. Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or multi-site environments is considered an asset. Other Skills and Abilities Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and continuous improvement. Ability to work in both office and industrial environments. Willingness to provide occasional after-hours support when required. Licence, Certification & Education Post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Network Administration, or a related field preferred. Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or similar industry certifications are considered assets. Familiarity with Azure, Jamf Pro, Active Directory, and network infrastructure is considered an asset. Valid driver's licence and the ability to travel occasionally between company locations may be considered an asset.
