We are seeking reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious Unarmed Mobile Security Officers to execute overnight exterior patrol at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (MCCNO). Operating a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV), you will maintain a visible security presence, conduct perimeter patrols, monitor property conditions, and deter unauthorized activity across the entire exterior campus.
This role requires strong UTV maneuvering skills across diverse street types and property areas, as well as the ability to work comfortably outdoors in all overnight weather conditions. The officer operates in close coordination with and under the operational direction of MCCNO Campus Security.
Core Responsibilities-
Mobile UTV Patrol Operations: Safely operate and maneuver a company UTV across exterior roadways, drive lanes, parking lots, gravel areas, loading docks, Pedestrian Park, and the 201 St. Joseph area. Varied patrol routes and timing must be used to avoid predictable patterns.

Perimeter & Property Inspection: Continuously check exterior building perimeters, service areas, gates, doors, and restricted access points for security or safety hazards.

Weather & Environmental Readiness: Perform continuous mobile patrol outdoors throughout the 8-hour overnight shift in all weather elements (rain, heat, cold, wind).

Check-In & Communications: Check in at Phase 3 Control (via Henderson St. Employee Entrance) at the start of every shift. Maintain possession of and monitor an assigned MCCNO radio, following strict MCCNO radio procedures.

Observe, Report & Deter: Operate in an observe, report, deter, and notify capacity. Identify suspicious persons, unsecured gates/doors, lighting outages, or property damage, and immediately notify MCCNO Dispatch.

Incident & Safety Response: Preserve scenes when necessary, complete required logs/incident documentation, and follow operational direction from MCCNO Campus Security supervisors during incidents or emergencies.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift safety checks on the assigned UTV and return all issued radios and equipment at the conclusion of each shift.

UTV / Vehicle Maneuverability: Proven experience operating and maneuvering Utility Task Vehicles (UTVs/ATVs) safely across various street types, tight spaces, and outdoor ground conditions.

Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Licensing: Active State Private Security Registration / Guard Card (or ability to register prior to start).

Weather & Shift Endurance: Physical ability to remain actively engaged in mobile exterior patrols outdoors for full 8-hour overnight shifts.

Professional Communication: Strong verbal communication skills for radio protocols with Dispatch and clear written skills for incident logs.

Punctuality & Reliability: Strict adherence to attendance guidelines to ensure continuous 56-hour weekly shift coverage.

Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Overnight)
- Days: Monday through Sunday (7 days per week coverage available)
Starting pay is $16.00 per hour
