Part time: 24 hours
Hours: evening and night shift rotating: 1500-2330/1900-0730/2300-0730. Will include weekend and holiday rotation

→The RN Throughput Coordinator is responsible for coordinating safe, timely, and equitable patient placement using clinical judgment, bed availability data, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

→This role promotes critical thinking through evidence-based decision-making, effective communication, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement in throughput processes.

→ The RN Throughput Coordinator acts as a liaison between nursing units, providers, the ED, procedural areas, and ancillary departments to optimize hospital capacity and support high-quality outcomes.

This role provides hospital and system wide oversight for patient flow

Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in conflict resolution, open communication, and staff development.
Knowledge of hospital throughput systems.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills needed to work in a collaborative practice setting with an interdisciplinary team and to interact effectively with patients, physicians, payers, reviewers and other agencies.
Excellent skills in the following areas: critical thinking, problem identification and resolution, adoption to change, decision making, and negotiating.
