Our progressive Architecture Team seeks a talented Healthcare Planner to support the continued growth of our Healthcare practice in Austin, TX. This individual will serve as a key planning resource, helping clients shape healthcare environments that are efficient, patient-centered, and aligned with operational goals. Strong client-facing skills, healthcare planning experience, and the ability to translate clinical needs into thoughtful design solutions are critical to success in this role.

• Collaborate with healthcare clients, users, and project teams to develop planning solutions that support operational, clinical, and patient-care goals.
• Facilitate user-group meetings, planning workshops, and stakeholder discussions to gather requirements and build consensus.
• Develop programming documents, space plans, adjacency studies, workflow diagrams, and planning concepts for healthcare projects of varying scale and complexity.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, interior designers, and consultants to ensure planning intent is carried through all phases of design.
• Support business development efforts through planning expertise, interviews, presentations, and client relationship building.
• Assist project teams in the development of healthcare design concepts from planning through construction documentation.
• Research healthcare trends, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging best practices to support project delivery and client success.
• Mentor project teams by sharing healthcare planning knowledge and industry insights.

We're looking for passionate, driven self-starters. Beyond that, you'll need…

• 10+ years of professional experience, including significant experience in healthcare planning, healthcare architecture, or healthcare-focused project delivery.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program/school; Healthcare specialization a plus.
• Licensed Architect preferred; candidates with substantial healthcare planning experience will be considered.
• Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, departmental relationships, operational planning, and patient-centered design.
• Experience leading user-group meetings, programming efforts, and planning studies.
• Knowledge of healthcare facility types including hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, medical office buildings, specialty clinics, imaging centers, and behavioral health environments.
• Working knowledge of healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and facility planning standards.
• Ability to synthesize clinical, operational, and technical requirements into clear planning solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with clients, consultants, and project teams.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout the design process.
• Preferred knowledge of Revit, Newforma Project Center, and Office 365.
• Experience with healthcare master planning, medical planning, operational planning, or evidence-based design approaches is highly desirable
