About the Role
~1 min readYou’re a planner with smarts, passion and curiosity who is committed to helping clients understand and navigate our ever-changing world. Over the past 3+ years you’ve worked at a creative agency learning the ropes and can apply a number of tools and techniques to contribute to strategies and briefs.
You’ve demonstrated your ability to work with creatives and accounts as a core member of the team. You provide business-relevant perspective on communication challenges. This typically involves developing an understanding of the market and competitive factors, cultural trends and deep consumer understanding. You help ensure the team is set up to deliver not only solutions, but also insight that helps clients make decisions about their businesses. Experience in social strategy considered an asset.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Create compelling consumer profiles that provide insight into consumer behaviours, attitudes, lifestyle and usage to uncover meaningful insights
- →Conduct in-depth scouting into cultural trends, channel opportunities, competitive activity and distill into actionable implications and recommendations.
- →Contribute to and sometimes lead the strategic thinking on campaigns
- →Contribute to writing Creative Briefs (and depending on the nature of the project lead the writing)
- →Provide inspiration and ideas to creative teams as they begin the creative development process; act as a partner and sounding board during the creative process
- →Partner with Creatives to concept, explore and push the work
- →Develop a proficiency for research including becoming comfortable and well versed on all the data on a client’s business.
- →Build excellent relationships with creatives, accounts and agency partners
- →Be familiar with widely used and emerging insight tools and technology, channels and terminology.
- 3+ years’ strategy experience in a creative advertising agency preferred
- Ability to manage scenarios where on the spot, critical thinking is necessary
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive mindset; cares about the details and follows through
- Well informed on cultural and social trends relevant to clients
- Is current on industry, customer and competitor information and integrates those insights into strategic recommendations
The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
