Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, Ok is currently hiring for Food Service staff. Below is a breakdown of the key responsibilities and expectations for this role:
- Primary Responsibilities:Handling, preparing, cooking, and serving food.Catering to regular, modified, and special dietary needs.
- Sanitation:Ensuring all work, preparation, and serving areas are kept clean and sanitary.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ability to accommodate dietary modifications (e.g., special diets for medical or health conditions).
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple food preparation and serving tasks efficiently.
Job Type/Salary:
- This is a full-time, shift position. Shifts are 8 hours in duration. Both Saturday's and Sunday's are REQUIRED for this position.
- Pay :Level I: $14.66/hourlyLevel II: $15.63/hourly
- Benefits Allowance, earn 15 days sick AND 15 days annual leave per year, up to 7% 401k match
- Scheduled days: Varies - 8-hour shifts / 5 days a week (40-hour workweeks)
- This position is non-exempt.

Requirements
~1 min read- Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of lifting/carrying 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently and able to push and pull a maximum force of 50 pounds.
- Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
