What We Offer
~1 min readThe Legislative Service Bureau is seeking a skilled and creative photographer to join our team, which provides a range of photography services to the members of the Oklahoma Legislature. Photographers document the business of State government throughout legislative sessions, take official State portraits, capture special events, and document historical moments. The ideal candidate for this role has strong technical skills, the ability to adapt quickly, is customer-service oriented, and works well in a team.

~1 min read- Proven experience as a professional photographer, ideally with experience in event coverage and portrait photography.
- Proficiency in digital photography and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, ACDSee).
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, especially during fast-paced events.
- Flexibility to work evening hours during session as needed.
- Knowledge of state government operations and legislative processes (preferred but not required).
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in Photography, Visual Arts, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- The role is primarily based at the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City.
- Will require standing for extended periods during events.
- Traversing multiple sets of stairs daily with limited use of elevators
- Sitting for extended periods of time while editing photos
