What We Offer
~1 min readResponsible for providing direct and indirect professional nursing services in a variety of healthcare settings. Duties include conducting nursing assessments; developing and implementing care plans; providing nursing interventions and evaluations; delivering health-related education; coordinating case management; and carrying out medical regimens, including administering medications and treatments prescribed by individuals authorized to prescribe under state law.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform direct and indirect nursing services, including obtaining and documenting patients’ temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- →Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician or authorized healthcare provider orders and applicable policies and regulations.
- →Perform a variety of technical nursing tasks to support the health and well-being of patients.
- →Monitor patients’ conditions and communicate significant changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- →Direct and coordinate the activities of direct-care staff on the assigned unit.
- →Prepare, organize, and distribute medications on the unit in accordance with established medication administration procedures.
- →Provide patient education and support regarding health, medications, treatments, and care plans.
- →Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and records.
- →Follow established infection-control, safety, and patient-care standards.

Requirements
~1 min read- Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
