Responsibilities

 TheFleet Supervisor focused on scheduling trucks for delivery and keeping the company in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, supervising drivers, and fleet maintenance. 

 This role is perfect for an individual that can work independently, prioritize work activities and have strong organizational skills. A vital member of theteam, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader. 

  • Supervise drivers, ensure adherence to DOT and company policies, audit logs, and maintain driver qualification files. 
  • Conduct driver training, schedule routes and deliveries, and coordinate workloads. 
  • Prepare delivery schedules, bill of ladings, trip records, and fuel tax reports; manage common carrier shipments. 
  • Inspect load securely, review proof of deliveries, handle rejected goods, and coordinate reorders. 
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance programs and ensure all vehicles meet regulatory standards. 

 

  • Minimum 2 years managing DOT-regulated drivers and scheduling transportation; working knowledge of DOT regulations required. 
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively (verbal and written); basic math aptitude and computer familiarity. 
  • Must be able to read and use a tape measurer. 
  • Professional, courteous communication with customers and drivers; safety-first mindset and team-oriented attitude. 
  • Experience in the glass industry, a valid (unexpired) CDL, and / or a degree in logistics are preferred.
