Job Purpose
To drive diagnostic sales and revenue growth by leveraging laboratory knowledge to acquire new clients, manage key accounts and close deals effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue:
- Acquire new clients.
- Meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell diagnostic services to existing clients.
- Ensure timely collection of receivables.
Customer Experience:
- Leverage prior lab exposure and knowledge to answer client and other stakeholder questions.
- Gather client feedback to help improve service delivery.
- Work with the Marketing department on promotions and campaigns.
- Coordinate with technical team on technical client queries.
- Manage key accounts.
Strategy & Reporting:
- Develop and execute a sales plan for your designated territory.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports.
- Develop plans to improve relevant key performance indicators.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly reviews with the Executive Director.
Competencies
Educational Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field OR Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Candidate with a laboratory science background and some sales in a related setting will be given strong preference.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in a sales, laboratory or healthcare setting.
- Hands-on experience in a medical laboratory or diagnostic sales is highly desirable.
Technical:
- Laboratory/diagnostic knowledge (test type, procedures, terminology)
- Knowledge of the Ghanaian market and industry trends, specifically as it relates to the healthcare/laboratory industry
- B2B/B2C sales and revenue generation, including prospecting, negotiation and closing
- Receivables collection and follow up
- CRM and key account management
- Territory sales planning, sales reporting and KPI tracking
- Client feedback systems
- Presentation skills for executive reviews
- Valid driving license and ability to drive a car or ride a motorbike (for territory coverage and client visits)
