Optime are excited to be recruiting Airport Car Park Cleaner Team Leader in partnership with one of our prestigious client at Gatwick Airport. Requirements

  • Valid Passport or Driving Licence /Birth Certificate or National ID card
  • UK Settled Status (If applicable)
  • Proof of National Insurance
  • Proof of (current) Address
  • 5 Year Address History
  • 5 Year Work Reference History
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following interview in line with CAA requirements.
  • Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial

PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.

  • Rate of Pay: £14.59 per hour
  • Day Shift: 18:00 pm to 06:00 am (12-hour shifts)
  • Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday
  • Weekly Pay (every Friday)
  • Full training
  • Temp to Perm (performance-based)

Responsibilities

  • →Lead and allocate daily tasks, ensuring all areas are cleaned and maintained to required standards.
  • →Supervise colleagues, complete quality checks and report any issues or damage to management.
  • →Drive the company van around the site, transporting colleagues to designated work areas and collecting and transporting rubbish as required.
  • →Oversee and undertake sweeping, litter picking and bin emptying across car parks, drop-off zones and bus shelters.
  • →Ensure lifts, stairwells, walkways and high-touch areas are cleaned and sanitised.
  • →Ensure colleagues follow all health & safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • →Support and guide the team, leading by example and addressing day-to-day operational issues.
  • →The role involves physical activity and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • →Essential: Full valid driving licence and Blue Pass.
  • →Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.
