Purpose of Position: The Sales and Marketing Director possess the skills related to all directed positions and directs the daily tasks specific to those positions. The Sales and Marketing Director works closely with employee’s event sponsors, marketing firms and customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about products, employment, ordering of required inventory, coordinating of promotional events and deliverables, assist outreach coordinator with corporate social media presence and recommends solutions. The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for employee scheduling and prompt resolution of employee/customer complaints.

Position's Customer(s): Retail sales customer’s, retail vendors, freight handlers, wireless and mobile customers, Sales Associates and other employees as assigned.

 

Essential Duties of Position:

 

·       Daily Sales - 20%


  • Oversee daily Sales Associate operations. Assist customers and employees with inventory related questions, take specialized orders and maintain required inventory.

  • Inventory -30%

    • Work closely with the Sales Associates to maintain proper inventory levels and adjust inventory in response to customer demand and sales trends. Review store inventory and place orders required to maintain adequate inventory while maintaining a manageable influx of inventory. Review the reception of stock from vendors and mail carriers. Implement and review pricing policies.

  • Invoicing/Deposit - 10%

    • Oversee the issuing of all invoices, daily and monthly. Set and enforce customer payment policies and work with Employees and Customer’s to facilitate adequate payment patterns. Oversee daily deposit process for accuracy and proper reporting and tracking. Assist with processing of invoice payments for all entities.

  • Administrative - 40%

    • Maintain accurate customer/employee information, enter new customers into POS and business templates. Oversee promotional and marketing materials and campaigns related to all retail operations Assist with monthly and Quartey reports, data entry and reconciliation as directed. Maintain work related e-mail account(s) pertaining to employee operations, scheduling, and inventory tracking. Maintain accurate employee work and vacation schedules. Assist with corporate Social Media Presence, monitor multiple social medal platforms and Public relations email accounts

 

 

 

 

Job Qualifications:


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Sales and Marketing Director shall be proficient in the following tasks:


  • Basic understanding of sale principals and customer service practices
  • Proficiency in English

  • Basic accounting skills

  • Basic computer/electronic skills

    • E-mail

    • Web Browsing

    • Cellular Phones

    • Cellular Data/Wireless protocols

    • Printing and scanning of Documents

  • Knowledgeable of the following or similar software is recommended

    • Microsoft Excel

    • Microsoft Word

    • Acrobat Adobe (PDF)

  • Basic Web browsing and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledgeable of Home/Office Electronics
  • Availability to work flexible shifts
  • Employee Time management
  • Shift scheduling

 



Years of Experience required to meet minimum qualifications:


  • Minimum of 2 years Retail Sales and Marketing is required.

  • Minimum of 1 year in supervisory role.

 

Level of Education required to meet minimum qualifications: 


  • High School diploma or GED required.

Position Reports to: COO/CEO

Number of Direct Reports (if applicable):   2-5

 

Physical Requirements: Physical effort may include stooping, kneeling, touching, feeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.  Clarity of vision to see near, mid-range, and color.  Ability to utilize a computer monitor throughout the course of a normal workday, perform repetitive keyboarding activities and operate general office equipment.  Must have the ability to communicate orally, both in person and over the telephone. Ability to lift and carry up to (50) lbs. and work in cramped spaces. Balance sufficient for occasional use of a step ladder. Hearing, vision, depth perception, and hand-to-eye coordination sufficient to perform job duties.  Visual and auditory acuity necessary to operate equipment and identify color-coding.  Ability to tolerate temperature and weather extremes (fumes and odors, dust, low light conditions.)  Strength, dexterity, and coordination sufficient to perform job duties.)      

Working Conditions: Primary office environments but may require work to be performed out of office for Promotion task, mail collection and bank deposits/transfers. Must be able to lift 50lbs.


Driving Requirements: Must have valid driver’s license.


Hours: Seasonal and off-season hours – Monday thru Sunday 9:00am to 7:00 PM, Hours are subject to change and scheduling.
