Offers and Services Engineer

Responsible for the implementation and optimization of Intelligent Network (IN) platforms ensuring high performance and availability of telecom services .To design, develop and deliver competitive and innovative customer-centric offers and services.

• Deploy and optimize Intelligent Network (IN) systems, supporting services like prepaid/postpaid billing, value-added services (VAS), and SMS/voice services.

• Implement and support service platforms such as Provisioning Systems, eRecharge, and Loyalty Management Systems, ensuring smooth operation and performance.

• Contribute to the design, development, and execution of offers for B2B and B2C customers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Collaborate with product management, sales, and marketing teams to define technical requirements and scope for new offers and services.

• Support and implement integrations with billing platforms, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless connectivity.

• Assist in managing system upgrades to keep service platforms secure, up-to date, and compliant with industry standards.
• Conduct and document technical testing of new service platforms and integrations, ensuring functionality before launch.

• Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business teams such as Marketing, Sales, and Orange Money (OM).

• Maintain documentation for changes, solutions, and configurations
• Support the transition of newly deployed business solutions and integrations to the operations team, providing necessary documentation and guidance

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to service platforms, working with operations and development teams to implement solutions.

• Participate in technical discussions on service platform development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Perform any other tasks as assigned by management to support business objectives.

• Familiarity with 3G/4G/5G core network architecture and service delivery platforms

• Good knowledge of intelligent network (IN) platforms
• Experience in collaborating with vendors and working with third-party service providers

• Ability to work with confidential information
• Good time management, organizational & project management skills
• Ability to analyse and work within complex customer environments, designing and implementing tailored solutions that align with business needs.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and process optimization.

• Strong expertise in SQL
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a telecommunications environment with emphasis on billing and charging platforms
• Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunication or related fields.
