Job Description:

As a Family Time Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate and schedule visits, ensuring safety and clear communication with all parties involved.
  • Explain visit agreements and rules to clients, families, and caregivers, setting clear expectations.
  • Monitor visits, address any issues that arise, and document outcomes accurately.
  • Support case workers by engaging with clients, contributing to assessments, and helping with decision-making.
  • Provide transportation for children, ensuring safety during travel and visits.
  • Prepare court notes, attend meetings and conferences, and testify in court to support legal proceedings.
  • Maintain correct records and give feedback to service workers to ease change and review client progress.   

Requirements

A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are needed for this position.

  • One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting; OR
  • An associate degree in any field; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Finalists must be cleared by the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) through a fingerprint-based criminal records check.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience scheduling daily tasks and coordinating calendars to meet required timelines.
  • Experience communicating clearly in person and in writing to share information and instructions.
  • Experience in addressing escalating behavior and redirecting interactions toward safe resolution.
  • Experience intervening in conversations or situations to maintain constructive direction.

  • Work will take place in the office, participants’ homes, and various community locations as needed.
  • Frequent travel is needed for transporting children and completing case‑related activities.
  • The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm PT, with possible fluctuations based on service needs.
  • There may be occasional requirements for compensated overtime, including evening and weekend hours.
  • You may interact with individuals experiencing trauma or emotional distress, and there may be times when individuals have difficulty managing their emotional responses.
  • You may meet situations requiring quick decision‑making to ensure your safety or the safety of others.
  • Activities may include traversing stairs, move across uneven terrain, and helping children (up to 50 pounds) in and out of car seats.
