We are looking for an experienced, proactive and hands-on Head of Accounting & Reporting to lead the accounting function of an international, multi-entity group operating across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing the month-end closing process, overseeing payroll accounting, strengthening internal controls and leading the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Month-End Close
- Own and manage the end-to-end monthly closing process across all Group entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements.
- Oversee accruals, prepayments, revenue recognition, FX revaluation and intercompany transactions.
- Ensure monthly reconciliation and review of all balance sheet accounts.
- Maintain a structured closing calendar with clear responsibilities, deadlines and review procedures.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues.
- Drive continuous improvements to shorten closing timelines while maintaining accuracy and financial control.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Deliver financial results by legal entity, business unit and on a consolidated Group basis.
- Coordinate monthly reporting with business unit management, ensuring timely and meaningful variance explanations.
- Reconcile accounting results with operational and business intelligence data.
- Provide accurate financial information for executive management, shareholders and board reporting.
- Prepare annual IFRS financial statements and Group consolidation.
- Develop, document and maintain Group accounting policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Establish consistent accounting practices and controls across all Group entities.
- Implement and monitor approval workflows, segregation of duties and financial controls.
- Maintain the Group chart of accounts and financial reporting structure.
- Identify opportunities for accounting automation, ERP optimisation and process standardisation.
- Work closely with internal teams to improve data quality, reporting reliability and operational efficiency.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, including the implementation of new systems and AI-assisted workflows.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions, covering employees and contractors.
- Ensure accurate payroll calculations, accounting entries, reconciliations and timely processing.
- Coordinate with HR, payroll providers and Treasury to maintain effective payroll processes and controls.
- Oversee payroll-related tax and social security reporting.
- Coordinate with internal tax specialists and external advisers to ensure timely tax compliance.
- Maintain accurate tax-related accounting records, provisions and reconciliations.
- Coordinate annual external audits across Group entities.
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Ensure timely resolution of audit queries and implementation of audit recommendations.
- Support statutory reporting and regulatory compliance requirements across jurisdictions.
- Lead, develop and manage the Group accounting team of 5+
- Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations and quality standards.
- Ensure effective allocation of responsibilities and appropriate backup coverage.
- Coach and develop team members, strengthening technical expertise and operational efficiency.
- Build a proactive, structured and results-oriented accounting function.
About you:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, including at least 1–2 years in a leadership or team management role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and proven experience in consolidated financial reporting.
- Experience managing accounting operations across multiple entities, jurisdictions and currencies.
- Demonstrated ability to improve month-end closing processes and implement effective accounting controls.
- Solid understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations and statutory compliance.
- Experience developing accounting policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and financial reporting frameworks.
- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP and accounting systems.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Big plus:
- Big 4 audit or advisory background.
- Experience in fintech, payments, digital platforms, technology or international holding structures.
- Experience with Odoo or similar ERP platforms.
- Exposure to financial process automation, business intelligence tools or AI-assisted accounting workflows.
