Job Title Van Driver Location Property Department Rooms Property, if applicable Property Specific  FLSA Non-Exempt Direct Supervisor Front Office Manager   Job Overview The Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting guests between the hotel and designated locations, including airports, train stations, event venues, and nearby attractions. This role ensures timely, safe, and courteous transportation services while maintaining a strong focus on guest satisfaction and professionalism.   This position operates primarily outdoors and on the road, requiring extended periods of driving and guest interaction with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Success in this role requires strong safety awareness, reliability, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience at all times.   Job Responsibilities   Guest Transportation & Service Safely transport guests to and from assigned destinations, including airport shuttle services and local transfers. Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage in a courteous and helpful manner. Provide friendly, professional, and service-oriented guest interactions at all times. Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off in accordance with hotel schedules and guest needs.   Vehicle Operation & Safety Operate hotel vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety policies. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including fuel levels, tires, lights, and general condition. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle(s). Report mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns promptly to management.   Guest Communication & Coordination Communicate effectively with front desk, concierge, and hotel teams regarding guest transportation needs. Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a professional and helpful manner. Support smooth coordination of arrivals and departures to enhance guest experience.   Compliance & Professional Standards Follow all hotel policies, safety procedures, and transportation guidelines. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all licensing requirements. Represent the hotel professionally while interacting with guests and the public.   Job Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.   Experience: Previous driving or transportation experience preferred; hospitality or customer service experience is a plus.   Travel required: Local driving required on a daily basis; no overnight travel expected.   Physical requirements: Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach as needed during guest assistance activities. Frequent lifting and carrying of luggage and packages up to 30–50 lbs. Ability to load and unload luggage repeatedly throughout a shift. Skills and Abilities: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required. CDL may be required depending on vehicle type and local regulations. Strong customer service and communication skills. Good knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns. Strong time management and reliability. Professional demeanor and guest-focused attitude.
