We are looking for a Research Coordinator to join our Research Operations team on a fixed-term contract in Oulu. This team leads a variety of research studies, both internal and external, to develop new features and continue to enhance the accuracy of our algorithms. Our partnerships often lead to scientific publications and provide public validation of Oura’s health sensing capabilities. You will support our team with ongoing internal human research studies.
Our fixed-term period is planned to be 10 months, timing can be agreed between 11/2026- 08/2027. This is a mostly onsite role based in Oulu, which will involve commuting into our office multiple times per week.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Run in-person data collections, including scheduling, room and equipment setup, participant flow, and accurate capture of data from the Oura Ring and reference devices.
- →Manage prototypes and research equipment, troubleshooting functionality issues.
- →Co-author protocols and SOPs in collaboration with researchers and data scientists.
- →Track study milestones, proactively flag blockers, and keep studies moving on time.
- →Perform manual data quality control and collaborate with engineers to build automated checks.
- →Ensure compliance with research ethics, Good Clinical Practice, and Oura’s internal standards.
- Studies from human research (e.g., biology, psychology, cognitive science, biomedical engineering) and in your final stages (4th+ year / 250 ECTS).
- Familiarity with research ethics and good clinical practice
- Strong attention to detail and confidence managing timelines and documentation
- Good communication skills (in English)
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situation
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary team environment
- Nice to have: experience with biosignals (PPG, spectroscopy)
