Finance Manager

Position Purpose: To lead and manage all financial operations of M-SELEN, including financial planning, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance, while supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring strong financial governance. The role combines management accounting, operations accounting, and treasury oversight, acting as the key financial lead in the absence of a CFO. Job Description Summary: 1. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning 2. Manage treasury operations, including liquidity, cash flow, and agent float 3. Oversee accurate reconciliation of transactions, commissions, and settlements 4. Ensure financial processes support a seamless customer and agent experience 5. Contribute to pricing strategies, fees, and financial product design 6. Strengthen financial controls, reporting frameworks, and reconciliation processes 7. Collaborate with Product & Technology to improve systems, automation, and efficiency 8. Lead and mentor finance team members 9. Promote financial awareness across the organization and support decision-making 10. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and internal policies 11. Support audits and regulatory reporting 12. Uphold strong standards of integrity, accountability, and transparency Requirements Competency: Strong financial management, reconciliation, and reporting expertise. Experience in accounting, treasury, or financial operations (preferably fin-tech/telecom/FMCG). Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a lean environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems. Understanding of AML/CFT and regulatory requirements. Knowledge: Financial accounting and management accounting principles. Mobile money / digital finance operations (preferred). Regulatory and compliance frameworks. Experience: Relevant experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations; with opportunity to grow into a senior finance leadership role. Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, or treasury operations is an advantage. Exposure to digital finance, mobile money, banking, FMCG, or similar high-volume transaction environments is desirable. Experience working in a fast-paced or lean environment with both operational and strategic responsibilities is preferred. Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
