Role Overview

The Loadbank Shop Technician role will maintain, repair, and ship loadbank solution equipment at a Patriot Power Operations Facility. Adhering to all safety, quality, and operational standards of the company. Completing tasks, documentation, ad reporting as requested.

Represent Patriot Power Services and demonstrate to customer our professionalism and expertise as leaders in the industry.
Load/unload, test, setup, operate, teardown, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Complete and submit all documentation required by Patriot Power Services, our customers, and regulating agencies accurately, timely, and professionally.
Collaborate with other team members to execute goals and objectives.
Attend all training and offsite requirements as assigned.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Continuously improve, learn and adapt to the changing environment of a customer focused equipment solution and management startup business.

Preferred Skills:

Load bank, generator, or other electrical power equipment service experience preferred
Formal electrical training preferred
Troubleshooting skills preferred
Schematic reading skills preferred
Commercial and/or industrial facility construction sites experience is preferred
Field technician work experience a plus
Data center or commissioning knowledge a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong computer software and application skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and evolving environment

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
A higher education degree or technical certification preferred
OSHA30 preferred
First Aid/CPR/AED preferred

Requirements:

The ability and willingness to pass background and security clearance checks as required
The ability to complete fit for duty tests as required
Valid drivers license/ must be able to be reasonably insured to drive company vehicles
The ability to work occasional overtime as needed
The ability to travel up to 20% annually

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position may operate in a combination of office, remote, and active construction site environments, depending on project assignment and business needs. Employees must be able to perform essential job functions safely and effectively in both professional and field conditions.

Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain when on-site.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
Must be able to travel to and between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
Must be able to tolerate outdoor weather conditions and exposure to dust, noise, vibrations, and construction-related odors.
Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and other personnel while maintaining situational awareness in high-activity environments.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots are required when visiting or working on active construction sites.
This role requires visual acuity sufficient to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.
