Daimler Truck AuP is looking for a dynamic and innovative university student to join our team as an Industry Based Student supporting our Human Resources (HR) department. Our 2027 IBL (Industry Based Learning) Program will expose you to real jobs, real experiences and real learning which will allow you to gain valuable workplace experience relevant to your chosen field of study. This one-year (full time hours)  opportunity to learn and work alongside our experienced team of HR professionals is suitable for an undergraduate student who is interested in completing a professional year during their penultimate year of study. It is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to accelerate your HR knowledge and gain valuable exposure to our brand and corporate values. The Daimler Truck IBL program will commence mid-January 2027. You will need to commit to full-time office hours until end of January 2028. 

To qualify for this program, you must be an undergraduate student currently completing your penultimate year of study.  As at January 2027, you must have a remaining 12 months or 2 semesters of study to complete your degree. Ideally, you are studying a HR or business related degree. 

In this role, you will be required to use your interpersonal, administration and organisation skills to support the Human Resources team and the broader business with HR related topics. Within this role, you will assist in a variety of HR processes and document management. You will also be responsible for drafting, updating and maintaining internal process instructions and communication summaries. You will have the chance to be involved in a broad range of initiatives across HR Administration, HSE, Learning and Development, Payroll and to support the Recruitment and employee on-boarding process.  Finally, our ideal candidate will have the opportunity to participate in any new and exciting HR projects that arise throughout the year, giving you an opportunity to connect with the broader local team as well as our global partners.  

As the successful candidate, you will apply your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build positive business relationships within a fast paced and dynamic environment. Attention to detail, time management skills and the confidence to work autonomously whilst managing multiple priorities across all key functions within HR is critical within this position. 

Above all, as you will be working in a small team, you will have a collaborative approach and have a flexible and adaptable attitude to the changing needs of the department.
