We are looking for a hands-on Software Development Engineer in Test to design and implement our integration test automation strategy. The goal of this engagement is to build reliable integration coverage for critical audio/video flows, reduce regressions, and increase release confidence while enabling developers to own and maintain integration tests long term.

1. Implement automated integration coverage across key system boundaries:
   
2.  API integration tests for Express + MongoDB (Supertest + isolated DB)
3.  Frontend-to-backend integration tests for critical flows
4.  Integration coverage for audio/video pipelines and artifacts;
5. Build and maintain the integration automation infrastructure;
6. Integrate tests into CI/CD as defined in strategy:
7. PR gates (API integration)
8. staging gate (integration smoke / critical flow suite);
9. Enable the dev team to own more integration tests:
10. create clear documentation (how to write/run integration tests, patterns, examples, DoD expectations)
11. prepare templates/snippets for common integration test scenarios
12. run knowledge-sharing sessions / workshops and support developers during adoption
13. actively encourage and coach developers to write integration tests as part of feature work.

1. Strong hands-on experience implementing integration test automation (API + system/service integration);
2. Solid JavaScript and TypeScript testing experience in React and Node.js environments;
3. Strong experience with Playwright (for integration-level smoke flows where needed);
4. Experience with API testing (Supertest or equivalent) and database test isolation (MongoDB);
5. Proven experience validating audio and video artifacts in automated tests;
6. CI/CD experience, including test gates, parallel execution, artifacts, and stable pipelines;
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to document clearly and guide engineers toward better testing practices.
