- Preschool/Pre-K Assistant Teachers are responsible for direct interaction with the children in games, activities and free play, along with ensuring the general health, welfare and well-being of each child. Be active participants with the children enrolled, and effective communicators with parents, children, supervisors and co-workers.
- As well as accepting supervision from the Program Director, must exhibit initiative by demonstrating leadership without being prompted by other staff.
- Assisting in lunch/snack preparations.
- Daily cleaning of classroom and materials
- Additional duties are assigned by the Program Director.
- Enroll and attend 16 hours of off-site in-service annually. Learn and observe all JCPRD guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Seasonal Benefits & discounts on JCPRD classes
- Hours: 15- 30 hours per week and shifts are flexible between 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Salary: $14.00 per hour
Locations: Roeland Park Community Center and various elementary schools in the Shawnee Mission School District.
