This role
We're looking for a curious, people-first Retail Insights Analyst to be our eyes and ears in the field across the Philippines. In this role, you'll spend the majority of your time visiting retail stores, building genuine relationships with Clerks, Owners, and Admins, and translating what you observe into insights that directly shape how PayJoy operates and grows.
You'll work cross-functionally with Merchant Ops, Product, Sales, and GTM teams — bringing the voice of our customers and retail partners into decisions that matter. This is a role for someone who loves being out in the field as much as they love synthesizing what they find into clear, actionable stories.
Conduct in-person interviews and store visits to surface opportunities and issues before they become visible in more widely available data
Surface early signals of shifting perceptions, needs, and behaviors among Clerks and Retail Partners, and turn those findings into clear implications for Sales and Product teams.
Gather competitive intelligence through mystery shopping and ongoing landscape tracking
Produce reports that synthesize field insights with clear recommended actions and business impact
Develop a deep, nuanced understanding of the retail environments where PayJoy operates across your region
Support ad-hoc research requests as needed
Bachelor's degree in any field
1–2 years of experience in research, marketing, go-to-market, or a related discipline
Fluency in English and Tagalog
Strong interpersonal skills — you can make anyone feel comfortable opening up in conversation
Comfortable working autonomously and hitting productivity targets (store visits, interviews per week)
A proactive, adaptable mindset — you thrive in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities
Ability to influence cross-functional partners including Sales, Product, and Merchant Ops through clear communication and well-grounded insights
100% Company Funded : Private Health Insurance for employee and immediate family
