Trade Coordinator

We are looking for a driven, hands-on Trade Coordinator to help develop the next generation of field leaders while strengthening the skills, productivity, and quality of our craft workforce. This is more than a training role. The Trade Coordinator serves as a key member of the branch leadership team, partnering with operations leaders, field supervision, and safety professionals to develop employees, improve field processes, coordinate workforce planning, and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. What You'll Do Develop Our Workforce  Create and manage structured training and development programs for craft employees.  Build individualized development plans based on employee classification, certifications, experience level, and career goals.  Identify training gaps and coordinate classroom, field, and hands-on training opportunities.  Accelerate apprentice development by building competencies earlier in their careers.  Track employee certifications, qualifications, and development progress. Build Future Leaders  Identify and develop future Foremen, Leads, and Superintendents.  Partner with current field leadership to enhance leadership, communication, and accountability skills.  Establish and maintain mentorship programs that encourage knowledge transfer and employee engagement.  Help create a culture where employees see a clear path for growth and advancement within Masthead. Support Field Operations  Coordinate labor requests, workforce allocations, and staffing plans with field leadership.  Help optimize crew composition and maintain a healthy Apprentice-to-Journeyman ratio across projects.  Support manpower forecasting and workforce development initiatives. Promote Operational Excellence  Partner with the General Superintendent to improve field processes, consistency, and execution.  Support implementation of company best practices across all projects.  Assist with evaluating workforce performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.  Participate in the Foreman Supplemental Bonus Program evaluation process. Champion Quality and Safety  Promote Masthead's safety culture and actively participate in safety initiatives.  Ensure field personnel receive required safety and technical training.  Maintain OSHA 30 certification and other certifications required of the crews being trained.  Conduct field observations and coaching to reinforce safe work practices.  Help ensure project installations meet contract documents, specifications, and company quality standards. Contribute to Branch Success  Participate in branch strategy discussions and leadership meetings.  Assist with establishing branch goals, performance metrics, and accountability measures.  Attend all required construction department meetings and training sessions.  Collaborate with project teams, customers, and general contractors to support successful project execution. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications  Minimum of 5 years of experience leading crews on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, or construction projects.  Proven experience supervising and mentoring craft personnel.  Strong understanding of construction means and methods.  Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.  Strong knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to communicate effectively with field crews, project teams, customers, and general contractors.  Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.  OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain and maintain certification.  Ability to travel to jobsites throughout the region as needed. Preferred Qualifications  Bilingual in English and Spanish.  Experience in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or mission-critical construction environments.  Proficiency with Procore or other construction management software.  Experience developing training programs, apprenticeship initiatives, or workforce development programs.  Previous experience as a Foreman, Superintendent, General Foreman, or Craft Trainer.
